2. Contain Levante’s key play-maker, Jose Campana

Though Levante’s only goal from the last game was scored by a Gonzalo Melero-Jose Luis Morales combination play, it can’t be denied that Jose Campana was the player who created the most number of problems for the Cadiz defense. He attempted the very first through-ball of the game as early as just one minute into the match.

Campana ended the game with five key passes, per SofaScore, and that is undoubtedly a great record for any opening game. He was highly efficient on the ball with 95% passing accuracy in a total of 65 passes that included a decent chunk of long balls and crosses. He also pitched in defensively and remained Levante’s best player on the pitch.

The next match could be a little more favorable given Levante would be playing at their home and Real Madrid needs to make sure that they give that extra bit of attention to Campana who can be a massive threat to the Whites’ defense.

The second key, therefore, is to try and trap Jose Campana in his tracks and while doing so secure play in midfield. Real Madrid again would be playing without Toni Kroos and all eyes would be on the dependable youngster Fede Valverde as Los Blancos eye another full bag of points.
