After weeks of non-stop transfer news and speculation over Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid, Marca reports via Cadena COPE that the officials at the Spanish capital believe it’s “almost impossible” to sign Mbappe in this summer transfer window.

With eight days left to go before the deadline day, Los Blancos view the possibility of signing Mbappe as unfeasible. It’s only natural to feel disappointed after several reliable journalists actually sparked hope that the 22-year-old could finally be on his way. From all the “tic-tac” tweets to the turtle emojis, Madrid fans saw a glimmer of hope that Mbappe may end up at the Bernabeu this season, but it seems like that may not happen.

That’s not all, though. Real will not be making a move for Erling Haaland either, due to financial reasons. Moroever, Borussia Dortmund are not willing to sell Haaland after recently parting ways with Jadon Sancho.

Even in a hypothetical situation in which BVB are open to selling Haaland, it would cost nothing less than 150 million euros, a transfer fee that Madrid simply cannot afford at the moment. Not to forget the commission and added bonuses that Mino Raiola would also demand.

So, what next for Real Madrid? Can they compete on all fronts with this squad?

Despite yesterday’s draw against Levante, Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid is playing some excellent attacking and attractive football. Something that had not been seen for a long time.

The Italian has somehow outdone the odds and has revitalised a written off Isco who has phenomenal last night.

Vinicius Jr was undoubtedly the standout after scoring a sensational brace. The attacking trio of Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale seems to be working as well.

We saw quite a confident and energetic Luka Jovic yesterday who continuously pressed the Levante defence and even came close to scoring with a header. You can read the complete player ratings here instead.

All in all, Carlo Ancelotti has stood true to his words that he has an excellent squad at his disposal and all he needs to do is build a system that has been non-existent for quite some time.

With or without Kylian Mbappe, Ancelotti knows exactly what he needs to do to get the most out of this squad. Well if Marca’s reports are true that the club thinks it’s impossible now to sign Mbappe, we would just have to wait until next year. In the end, Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid is an inevitable phenomenon.
