After a win against Alaves and a thrilling draw against Levante, Real Madrid prepare for their third consecutive away game in La Liga as they take on Real Betis. The team will want to come out with all three points and head into the international break with their confidence high ahead of returning for their first game at the Santiago Bernabeu in over a year.

Goalkeeper

Yet to get a clean sheet this season but he’s hardly to blame, Thibaut Courtois will be the man in between the sticks on the night. The Belgian has been one of our most consistent players over the past year and he shows no signs of slowing things down anytime soon.

Defenders

Dani Carvajal has recently returned from injury as many of us watched with a smile as he finally made his long-awaited return in the last game but it may be too soon for him to start as Ancelotti will want to bring him back to match fitness slowly, which means that we could see Lucas Vazquez start as he’ll want to bounce back from a poor performance over the weekend.

There could be a change in the center of defense though as Nacho is treating a minor injury, which means we will possibly see Eder Militao partner up with David Alaba. When Real Madrid purchased Alaba, it was for him to be a central defender so it will be interesting to see how he does there after spending the past two matches on the left.

With Marcelo and Ferland Mendy still coming back from their respective injuries, the chance falls for the young but immensely talented Miguel Gutierrez who could get his chance to showcase his skills on the night at left-back.

Midfielders

There isn’t much change expected in the center of the pitch as Carlos Casemiro will start as our defensive midfielder while Federico Valverde could be called up once again and he’ll be in a great mood after the recent news of his contract renewal which will keep him at the club until 2027. Alongside him will be Isco, who dazzled everyone last weekend and he’ll be expected to show more of the same. His problem has always been consistency and if Ancelotti can bring that out of him, there is no doubt that the Spaniard will be an integral part of this team.

Forwards

Another start for Gareth Bale? Most likely yes. The Welshman is playing with a newfound hunger in recent weeks and having continuity in the team could bring out the absolute best in him. On the opposite flank, all signs point to Eden Hazard starting the match on the bench and Vinicius Junior getting a deserved start. The Brazilian came off the bench in both of the previous matches and was able to find the back of the net as he’s currently the highest scorer in the team with three goals from two matches. He’ll want to make the left flank his own and this could be the time for him to do so.

Up front, the captain for the third week in a row will undoubtedly start as Karim Benzema already has two goals and two assists to his name in the last couple of matches. He’ll almost definitely build on that by the time the match ends on Saturday night.
