Real Madrid: 3 reasons why Eden Hazard to Juventus would be best for both parties
By Avi Nagar
This transfer window has surprised us all, and it’s not even over yet. Manchester United has signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus in what would be the last dance for the Portuguese talisman at his former club. To top it all off, the window may see yet another mega transfer. Kylian Mbappe is expected to sign for Real Madrid in the coming days.
Ronaldo’s transfer to United and a very likely Mbappe arrival at Real will bring a domino effect in the transfer market. Juve will now have to fill a Ronaldo-sized hole in their team, and Real Madrid will have to trim down the squad to accommodate Mbappe.
One name that has emerged to replace Ronaldo at Juve is Eden Hazard, the very player who was bought to replace Ronaldo at Real Madrid. However, things haven’t panned out well for the Belgian at Los Blancos, and the nightmare may very well end this summer. Real Madrid has reportedly put him up for sale.
Here we look at the reasons Hazard’s transfer to Juventus would be best for both parties.
The move will benefit Eden Hazard
Hazard himself would hugely benefit from an exit. After his blockbuster move from Chelsea in 2019, Hazard has endured a torrid time at the Spanish capital. A lot of injuries and some off-field issues have been the highlight of his two years so far. Some events like turning up fat for preseason, and laughing with his former Chelsea teammates after being eliminated from UCL, have infuriated the Real Madrid fans.
A change in the scenario could do a whole lot of good for the Belgian captain. He would be able to leave behind his injury troubles and start a revival of an already illustrious career. Also, in Juventus, there would be somewhat lesser pressure, which again will help him. Moreover, if he moves to Juve, he would most likely get a significant role in the team. This is something that can’t be guaranteed in Real Madrid if Mbappe arrives.
