KYLIAN MBAPPE

Kylian Mbappe continues to reject contract proposals from Paris Saint-Germain and only has to do what he has done very well in the Madridistas’ eyes for just over three more months. It is being said that Real Madrid are ready to agree a pre-contract with him on January 1st itself and make his move official six months earlier than the start of the 2022-23 campaign next year.

However, the prospect of signing him by paying some money in January must not be ruled out although it looks very unlikely. Paris Saint-Germain might call in the winter if they are convinced Mbappe does not renew and Nasser Al-Khelaifi finally learns that his club’s oligarchy will result in Financial Fair Play ramifications sooner or later. In such a case, Madrid might actually talk as well.

If by January, the club’s age-old problems of scoring goals are not solved, they may be ready to pay a bit for Mbappe. After all, even with just a year left on his contract, Perez was okay with paying 200 million euros for Mbappe. This just shows he is a marketability asset as well and not just one whose rewards will be reaped on the playing field for the years to come.
