Although Real Madrid failed to sign Kylian Mbappe on deadline day, Los Blancos still managed to have quite a productive transfer window with the arrivals of David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga respectively.

It’s not yet all over for Florentino Perez, according to RMC Sport, the president of Real Madrid is eyeing a historic 2022 summer transfer window by signing two of the best youngsters in world football- Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. Paul Pogba is also on Perez’s wishlist for next summer but the priority is Mbappe and Haaland.

The summer of 2022 would see monumental changes at Real Madrid

While most of the European football world doubted Real Madrid’s financial strength to sign Mbappe, the Whites stunned everyone by offering 200 million euros for the 22-year-old. It’s no secret that Madrid have a lot of financial power at the moment which would further multiply next year.

Los Blancos would bid farewell to players like Gareth Bale and Marcelo next season with their contracts running out in 2022. This would further free up the wage payroll to accommodate the wage demands of Haaland and Mbappe.

The formers release clause worth 75 million euros (which is now rumoured to be approximately 90 million euros) will be activated next season. Real Madrid have sufficient funds to trigger Erling Haaland’s release clause and agreeing to personal terms should not be much of a problem either.

Meanwhile, PSG will continue their attempts of renewing a deal with Kylian Mbappe. However, the Frenchman’s heart seems to have already set sail for Madrid. Karim Benzema’s recent statement while on international duty with France about Mbappe being linked with Madrid makes it sound like an inevitable transfer next season.

"“He is a footballer who one day or another will play for Real Madrid. We get along very well and I would like him to be with me already in Madrid. But he also has to respect his club, “"

As for Paul Pogba, ESPN claims that the former Juventus midfielder is eager on joining his “dream” club Real Madrid. Pogba’s contract runs out next season with Manchester United and a move to the Spanish capital could be on the cards. Zinedine Zidane’s dream of watching Pogba play in white could finally unfold before our eyes next season.
