Fede Valverde is one of the hottest prospects in world football right now. The fact that Real Madrid had a player like him in the academy, and gave him enough chances to truly blossom into the player he is supposed to be, it’s not a surprise he agreed to sign a long-term deal with the club.

Fede Valverde went on international duty and featured for Uruguay three times during the break. The thing that stood out the most was his determination to play for Real Madrid sooner rather than later.

Valverde paid for a private flight to get to Real Madrid’s training facilities sooner

Uruguay played against Ecuador on Wednesday, which was past Thursday midnight for Spain. Fede Valverde understood that his club is already thin on midfielders at the moment, with injury to Toni Kroos and Luka Modric only returning to training this week. He realised it, and he took a private flight back to Spain along with his family, according to a report from MARCA.

He could’ve rested before going back but apparently, he wanted to be back on Friday morning, which shows his dedication and love for Real Madrid.

Per MARCA, LaLiga organised a private flight for all South American internationals to return to their respective training facilities, but Valverde wanted to be back as soon as possible.

It’s bad enough that South American players are asked to feature for their countries three times in the space of a week, but then they come back and feature for their respective clubs two days later. It’s a little worrying to think of the impact it may have on the players down the line, or even later during the season as they may get tired due to all the travelling or the fixture congestion.

It seems like Valverde didn’t train with the team on Friday, but the players that featured for Brazil were at the Valdebebas. It remains to be seen whether he makes the squad list, although his efforts to come back as soon as possible seem to go in vain, because Los Blancos generally don’t let players play without a single training session under their belt. He could start from the bench, or he might not be chosen for the squad at all.

Real Madrid play Celta Vigo at home on Sunday. Even if he doesn’t feature for the club, his attempt to return shows that he cares deeply for Real Madrid. He is a Madridista through and through, and the fans simply adore him for that.
