3. Same attacking plan must continue for Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s attacking plan this season has been to play high-tempo counter-attacking football. And, that should stay the same against Valencia. They are a side that struggle at defending counters, set pieces, and long shots. Also, they are highly susceptible to committing to challenges and conceding free kicks. Real’s gameplay so far is of the kind that can cause them trouble.

They have only conceded two goals so far in the league while scoring nine, which is mighty impressive for a mid-table side. However, Real Madrid is an opposition in a separate standing from what they have faced so far. Real Madrid would be expected to score first and dictate play. It is also worth noting that Valencia is a dangerous side that can both hold on to a lead or brew the recipe for an upset.

Real Madrid’s biggest asset will once again be Vinicius Junior’s unreal form. He looked like the most dangerous attacking individual on the pitch in the game mid-week. He was constantly trying to create something out of nothing by beating defenders and completing dribbles. It is so great to see his composure on the ball and calmness in front of the goal so far in the season. He didn’t score against Inter, but the signs were plenty.

Next. Why Real Madrid will beat Valencia. dark

Karim Benzema will look to rule again, he has been the league’s face so far with five goals and four assists that constitute a jaw-dropping nine goal-contributions in just four appearances. On the opposite flank, Ali predicts it’s going to be Eden Hazard. He too has been offering a lot more than he did in his previous seasons and things should continue in the same manner to cause Valencia trouble. The second-half always has the possibilities of the likes of Rodrygo Goes and Eduardo Camavinga joining the attack, so Real looks to be well set for a victory at the Mestalla.
