PSG RB Achraf Hakimi

The third player on the list is a former Real Madrid man and an Academy graduate who dreams of returning to the Bernabeu as a key player of the Real Madrid squad, as revealed by his former coach Antonio Conte. The man here is none other than the explosive Achraf Hakimi. Widely regarded as one of the best right-backs in the world, Hakimi can help Real Madrid in a lot of ways.

Ever since the departure of Alvaro Odriozola to Fiorentina on loan, Dani Carvajal has been Real Madrid’s only pure right-back. He has the likes of Lucas Vazquez, a make-shift right-back, and Nacho, a very versatile defender to help him out. However, even Odriozola’s return doesn’t guarantee that he can be Real’s mainstay at right-back. He looked sharp towards the end of last season but had his fair share of nervy moments too.

However, the truth is that he is no match for someone like Achraf Hakimi. It’s unbelievable how useful of a player Hakimi is. He can play as a full-back or in the midfield as well as score goals like a perfect forward. All of that with some unreal pace on the ball, his explosive attacking runs are a delight to watch and at just 22 years of age, Hakimi would be a brilliant player to bring back to the Bernabeu.

He’d solve the problem at right-back and would be the perfect heir to Dani Carvajal who is nearing his thirties and would be feeling the need of a rotational partner. Even without taking the fatigue issue into account, having a quality backup option is always the smarter way out. We saw last season how Carvajal’s season was cut short due to injuries and Zinedine Zidane had to play Lucas Vazquez as the fullback. Having Achraf Hakimi would so easily be the perfect solution.
