Real Madrid: 5 Man of The Match candidates against Valencia

Wow, what a hectic week it will turn out to be for Real Madrid. Firstly, a high-scoring match against Celta Vigo with a score of 5-2, and then a high-intensity low-scoring contest against Inter Milan with a 0-1 scoreline. Real Madrid did manage to win both the matches, but was it easy for them? Not at all.

Real struggled in both the matches. Against Celta, the defense was an issue. While against Inter, their pressing did not let the players play comfortably. But we did have certain players who stepped up to the occasion at the most crucial time. Luka Modric, Vinicius Junior, and Karim Benzema impressed us the most in the LaLiga fixture, while Thibaut Courtois, Eduardo Camavinga, and Rodrygo Goes were the standouts in the UEFA Champions League fixture.

The Valencia game will be similar to these two recent games. A pretty difficult one. With Real Madrid at the top of the table, Valencia is just behind at the second position. If you remember the game last season, Real Madrid lost 4-1 to Valencia, with Carlos Soler scoring a hattrick of penalties.

Apart from that, the match is in the Mestalla Stadium where Real has a very bad record. Real Madrid has won only 1 of the last seven games in the stadium, drawing 2 and losing 4. So, we can expect some extravagant thrill in the game. But, going by Real Madrid’s recent form, we should expect a victory in the away game.
