Luka Modric

Of course. He is always a Man of The Match candidate. And why wouldn’t he be? Even after being a 36-year-old player, he plays with the energy of a 25-year-old. Are there any words to describe the midfield maestro? Not in my dictionary.

Even after recovering from the injury, he got well-deserved applauds from critics for his amazing performance in the game against Celta Vigo. He is considered such a great player, that even on an off night like that against Inter Milan, their fans gave him a standing applause.

A player of such high standards must always be considered a threat. He provides a balance of defense and attack to the team and is always missed when not around, thus telling us how highly important the Croatian is to Real Madrid.

Talking statistics, he has managed 0.5 clearances and 0.5 blocks per game defensively. In the offense, he has provided 1 assist so far in the two LaLiga games averaging 2 key passes, 3.5 dribbles, 5.5 long balls, and 77.5 passes per game.

It tells us a lot about how great will Luka Modric be and gives us a reason to classify him as a possible Man of The Match award.
