3 Real Madrid players who will benefit from Paul Pogba’s possible arrival
KARIM BENZEMA- FORWARD
Before the season started, Karim Benzema had his contract extended until the summer of 2023 and the Frenchman is a man on a mission at the moment proving to his doubters that he can continue firing all cylinders until the very end.
The 33-year-old striker has gotten off to a flying start under Carlo Ancelotti, scoring six goals and providing five assists in six appearances in all competitions. He’s currently the leading goal-scorer in Spain whilst topping the assists charts as well. Benzema seems to be in the form of his life and one can only hope he continues playing like this until his contract ends.
With Pogba possibly joining the squad next season, it’s only obvious that Benzema would benefit from his compatriot’s arrival. The two linked up well in France’s Euro 2020 campaign in which Benzema played a pivotal role, scoring four goals for Les Bleus.
Like I mentioned before, Paul Pogba’s vision is underrated and his ability to set up teammates with goal-scoring opportunities often goes under the radar. This season, Pogba has seven assists for United and all of his assists have come from outstanding plays.
Given Benzema’s brilliant link-up play and off the ball movement combined with Paul Pogba’s passing range and skill, the two together could terrorise defences in La Liga and in Europe on a regular basis.
