La Liga is a lot more competitive than Ligue 1

Now, people can argue all they want about how La Liga has declined in quality since Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi left the league. Now, that’s true; they’re two of the best players in history, and their departures would result in quality. But, it only made the league more competitive. Sevilla were closer than ever to breaking into the top three. They were in the race for La Liga until the final weeks of the season. They are definitely good enough, and it proves that teams are improving.

Atletico, at least on paper, are stronger than ever. Barcelona are struggling a little at the moment, but they do have a few very talented players that have yet to reach their peak. When that happens, and when the financial side of things improve a little, we can see a comeback to the top from Barcelona. Real Madrid look good for now, but there are obvious loopholes that have yet to be fixed. Now, apart from the 38 league games, add a bunch of Champions League games to the mix, and then you have a very competitive season on your hands.

In Ligue 1, there’s only PSG. Maybe you can count Lille winning it out of the blue last season, but against this sort of attack, I’m pretty sure they won’t be able to retain their title.

That leaves us with just the Champions League. Would Haaland want to only be challenged in 10-12 games every season? At his age, and thinking about his mentality, I highly doubt it. Haaland is very competitive, and it just makes me think whether Ligue 1 is the probable move for him next season.
