3 ways Mbappe has shown that he wants a Real Madrid transfer over anything else
Kylian Mbappe has yet to extend with PSG despite the record-breaking offers
Money is important. It doesn’t matter if you’re a footballer or not, you need to earn and secure the future of yourself and your family. Sometimes, money alone can be a deciding factor in a player’s next destination. Sometimes, they put money ahead of their dreams, and stay at the place where they’re getting more of it.
I don’t think it’s the wrong choice. Some players just aren’t into it for the passion and love for the sport. But Mbappe’s not one of them. He knows that his dreams are not worth the money that he may earn at Paris-Saint Germain.
A month ago, when the Mbappe transfer saga was going on, PSG’s sporting director said that the club offered Mbappe two lucrative contract offers. One would’ve made him earn the same amount of money as the current highest-paid player in the squad. That was rejected by the Frenchman. Then they offered him a contract that would’ve made him the highest-paid player on the team, and even that was rejected.
It just goes on to show that no matter how much money PSG offer Mbappe, his heart just isn’t there anymore. He’s set his sights at the capital of Spain, and even though he wouldn’t earn as much money there as he would’ve earned at PSG, it’ll be worth it. He’ll get to lead the team into a new chapter, and he’d be the face of the club for years to come. That’s what he wants. He wants to make a mark, win trophies and break records at Real Madrid, and from what it seems, no amount of money would make him not want to do that.
