1. FW/LW Vinicius Junior

There wasn’t any doubt in my mind as to who would be leading this list. Yes, it is Real Madrid’s electric 21-year-old boy from Brazil who has lit up the Spanish stage with his unreal pace and dribbling. Vinicius Junior has been playing in a league of his own. There’s not much that needs to be done, just pass him the ball and he’d create something out of nothing with the way he eases past defenders and finds space within tight gaps. Vini is the player with all the rights to leading this list. As I predicted earlier, he has been the most improved player so far.

Vini had the hardest time last season with the Spanish media constantly criticizing him for his finishing. This season finally looks like the one where he breaks through. It was already known that Don Carlo will have a massive impact on the Brazilian, but no one thought it’d be this big of an impact. He already has five goals and two assists from six league games.

But, his game has been much more than his goal involvements. It’s been an all-around display, he has averaged 1.7 key passes, 3.3 dribbles, one long ball, and 1.3 tackles per game in LaLiga. In the game against Inter too, he created all sorts of problems with nothing to show for. Yet, he managed to complete three dribbles and place two key passes. I think it’s fair to say that Vinicius is finally coming of age.

It is so good to see the Brazilian in such tantalizing form. It is very difficult to bench him at this stage, especially when he is playing like this. His partnership with Benzema in the attack has been another mouth-watering watch for Madridistas. At this point, it just feels like you could write a million things appreciating Vini and yet be left with another million to go. All we do right now is hope for him to continue this brilliant run of form, he is a gifted player and a hard worker who deserves to be up there with the best in the world.
