REAL MADRID NEED ALTERNATE GOAL-SCORERS

Real Madrid have found a partner to Karim Benzema in the shape of Vinicius Junior who has scored five goals in La Liga and assisted two. The French international on the other hand has made no less than 17 goal contributions in this season- and to put that into perspective, Real Madrid have scored 24 times in all competitions up to this point, Benzema chipping in with close to 70%.

One of Ancelotti’s qualities is attacking football and he needs to get a few more players up and running. Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Rodrygo Goes are all expected to show better numbers and are yet to score a goal in league play this season. Gareth Bale will also be of great help once he returns from injury, having already scored once in three appearances in the Spanish top division.

Zinedine Zidane’s system was widely criticized due to the same issue and if Carlo Ancelotti cannot weave his experience to bring out good numbers from the attacking department, the fingers will be pointed towards just one thing- Florentino Perez’s project. Only time will tell how many Madrid score this season, but to be honest, they have been a bit off the pace in their last three matches.
