Kylian Mbappe has finally broken his silence over his failed transfer to Real Madrid last summer. The 22-year-old reportedly told Paris Saint-Germain that he will not renew his contract before the Euros and had asked for a transfer after his international duty.

PSG decided against the idea of selling Mbappe which ultimately resulted in a couple of grand offers from Real Madrid being rejected during the final week of the transfer window. The 22-year-old while on an interview with RMC Sport has made his desire clear that he wants to play for Real Madrid and the timing of the interview release makes his intentions crystal clear to the world.

“If Real Madrid would have been my destination? Of course. Real Madrid made an offer this summer, it would have only been them.”

While Kylian Mbappe clearly continues to dream of his transfer to Real Madrid. Florentino Perez is confident that this chapter can be closed in January itself when Mbappe will be legally permitted to negotiate with any club in the world.

Florentino Perez: “We hope that on January 1 everything (regarding Mbappe) can be solved.”

PSG are aware of the danger they face from Madrid and are already in a bundle of nerves. Their sporting director Leonardo Araujo seems to have had a complete breakdown following Mbappe’s interview and the recent statements from Carlo Ancelotti, Karim Benzema and now Florentino Perez.

PSG WILL NOT GIVE IN THAT EASILY AND LET MBAPPE SIGN FOR REAL MADRID

While Mbappe has made his intentions clear that he wants to play for Real Madrid, he has not yet completely ruled out a renewal. The 22-year-old seems to be following his own transfer speculation quite closely after he denied that he was offered up to six renewal offers.

Marca reports that PSG currently have offered two renewal options to Mbappe, with the last one having a total net salary of 25 million euros. However, Kylian Mbappe has not shown much interest and PSG are preparing a third deal to convince Mbappe to renew to eliminate a pre-agreement with Real Madrid in January.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain have strong faith in renewing Kylian Mbappe’s deal as they plan on offering a short-term contract. I would assume a single year extension or at most a two-year deal with an incremental increase in his wages.

It’s a war between Florentino Perez and the PSG directors. Florentino Perez has the upper hand because of Kylian Mbappe’s affinity towards Real Madrid. On the flipside, PSG will pull every trick out of their book to try and renewal Mbappe’s deal with monetary incentives and a sporting project as well.
