2. Edinson Cavani might not produce what’s expected

Secondly, I believe that even if Real Madrid makes a move for the Uruguayan, Edinson Cavani’s small stint won’t be that successful and there’s a reason for it.

Initially, The move seems to be a little unlikely because all the positions are filled. But if we assume that a player or two leaves, for example, Luka Jovic on loan or Mariano Diaz or Marco Asensio on a permanent transfer, a successful short time as a Real Madrid player may not bring the best of Edinson Cavani.

With a striker like Benzema on the team, all Cavani can expect from Real Madrid is to be a backup which is similar to what he is currently doing at Manchester United. Why is Real Madrid doing the loan move? To have a striker who can play at a level to give Karim Benzema some rest.

But the motive still may not be fulfilled and why? Because a player needs playing time to play at his best. How much has Cavani played since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival? As per whoscored.com, only 103 minutes in a total of 4 appearances for the club out of Manchester United’s 9 games so far which is nothing compared to what he needs.

And since the situation will more or less be the same at Real Madrid, I don’t see a point in loaning the Uruguayan beast.
