On number three, we have a player who shares the same club as Aymeric Laporte but has a thing going for him and one against. The new Portuguese star, Ruben Dias at 24 years of age is someone who is entering his prime and has more than a handy number of playing years ahead of him. He could be a good fit for Real Madrid given Dias’s involvement in the attack.

This season alone, Dias has already scored twice for his nation in the Nations League and has an assist to his name in the Premier League, per WhoScored. Similar to Aymeric Laporte, Dias too is an excellent passer of the ball. His current record of successful long balls per game stands at 4.6 in the last 31 appearances and his passing accuracy of 91% reflects his disciplined play.

Now the thing going against him, more so against Real Madrid’s chances of signing the Portuguese is that he has a massive six years remaining on his contract after this season, according to Transfermarkt. And, Manchester City has no real reason to sell and if they do so it would be at a hefty price tag. Real Madrid’s primary targets like Jules Kounde or Pau Torres could make more sense for them. Transfermarkt values Dias at 75 million euros.

However, he is indeed one of the best-developing center-backs in world football recently. He is already playing at a big club and has a bright future in front of him. He can easily be a lucrative option for any Champions League club given his ball-playing abilities.
