Carlo Ancelotti has mentioned his liking for Luka Jovic and reflected upon his words by providing a decent amount of opportunities to the Serbian marksman. The former Eintracht Frankfurt striker is yet to get off the mark this season but he does look much better than he did in the past two campaigns under Zinedine Zidane, and that in itself is a sign of things progressing in the right way.

With Karim Benzema scoring week in and week out at a rapidly astonishing rate, Jovic will find chances hard to come by and so, he must utilize them as and when they come. He changed the game versus Sheriff Tiraspol by coming off the bench and being a threat in the box. Jovic teed up Benzema for the goal in the defeat to Espanyol before the international break- a sign of good things.

He is yet to start a single game this season but an extended run may not be too far away considering that a busy string of fixtures is coming up and the player is also taking an incentive going forward. Thankfully for Jovic, Hazard’s problems have given the striker a relatively lower preference by the fans and despite being a galactico, he is not being scapegoated now and then.
