HE HAS AGE ON HIS SIDE- AN IMPORTANT FACTOR

Real Madrid can have a look at several other right backs around the world but the reason why Trent Alexander-Arnold would be a dream signing is because of his age. While as a Premier League player, his quality and price may have both been inflated, the truth is that there are very few defenders in the world who are at his level at the age of 23, at least in the top leagues in Europe.

Carvajal is now 29 years old and if his fitness is any benchmark to dictate his longevity, one can presume that he will not have more than two or three good years in his cylinders. The Spaniard has been facing injury problems on and off for the better part of the last one year and that will certainly affect his stay at the elite level by a year or two, as is very often the case with injuries.

As far as Real Madrid are concerned, their sporting project has revolved around making young signings and thus, Alexander-Arnold is a player to vehemently pursue. While he has said in the past that his future lies in Liverpool itself, the player’s mind could change if the world’s best club comes up with a concrete interest in him and Real Madrid is obviously a destination too good to deny.
