Manchester United signed Raphael Varane from Real Madrid earlier this year, but there are several Red Devils who would be good signings for the Whites. too.

Los Blancos have one of their most depleted squads in recent years, especially in defence given the departures of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane in quick succession. Manchester United, on the other hand, are very good on paper but have struggled under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season. Make no mistake, they have a squad to envy and are capable of winning a trophy or two this year.

Real Madrid did not make any signings apart from David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga during the recently concluded transfer window, but it is looking increasingly likely that they will be overhauling for the longer run during the next summer’s transfer window. While Kylian Mbappe is obviously the absolute number one target, some other positions need rebuilding as well.

Should Manchester United fail to win a single title for another season, their fifth on the trot, a number of players would certainly consider their futures at the Old Trafford and that will open the door to a serial winner like Real Madrid to pounce upon their services. Which three players from Manchester United would be the ideal signings for Real Madrid?

Ever since Gareth Bale’s injury problems started to occur on a consistent basis, Real Madrid have lacked a regular source of goals from the right flank. The Welshman’s fallout with Zinedine Zidane did him no good either over the Frenchman’s second spell in charge of Los Merengues, and now in his final year at the Santiago Bernabeu, Bale finds himself nursing an injury to his hamstring. That has been a familiar problem for the club legend.

Mason Greenwood would be the ideal candidate in addressing that issue for Real Madrid considering that Mbappe, if he signs, will be utilized in a central role or on the left wing. Moreover, Greenwood can initially play a role off the bench, just like he does at United. His qualities have been proven in the Premier League for more than one season now, including this one.

He added to his tally of Premier League goals by scoring a beautiful long-range strike against Leicester City in an eventual 4-2 defeat. Greenwood is an incredible scorer of goals who still has a lot to improve on, yet boasts incredible numbers. His only downside is his decision-making on the ball, but that is bound to improve as he gains more experience.
