There is a lot of fuss in the rumor mills, the transfer window is still a couple of months away and yet there are new players Real Madrid is supposedly linked to every other day. As such, the squad at Manchester City has emerged as one with impressive talent worth keeping an eye on. Here are three players whose transfer to the Bernabeu would be an absolute dream for Madridistas.

3. CAM Phil Foden

The young British sensation, Phil Foden is making headlines regularly for both club and country. He is also crafting a great CV for a 21-year old that includes three Premier League titles, a UEFA Champions League, and a UEFA Euro runners-up medal. That is indeed impressive for a youngster.

It is really hard to categorize Foden into a playing role. He is listed under the midfielders on Manchester City’s website but has also appeared in a forward role on a handful of occasions. Transfermarkt, however, categorizes him as a central midfielder, and truth be told, he indeed shines in that central midfield role bagging an 8.02 average match rating in the position, per WhoScored.

Real Madrid is all about housing superstars in their ranks and the way Foden’s career has progressed so far and the amount of popularity he has gained as a future superstar of the game is immense and fits Real Madrid’s profile perfectly. Superstars belong to the Royal White club.

Moreover, he could indeed end up being the missing piece in Real’s future lineup given how well he adapts himself to changing roles and responsibilities. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are both onboard a train of age and Phil Foden could pick up from where they leave as a crucial part of the midfield. While it is true Real Madrid is close to achieving their future midfield through impressive young players like Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde, it doesn’t hurt at all to think of Foden joining the guns. He indeed is a dream target.
