The next player on the list is a move away from the land of dreams towards reality. But, his transfer would surely be a dream come true given the way he’s been stacking up the goals for his club and country. Ferran Torres has emerged as a prime force in Luis Enrique’s Spanish National side being one of the more consistent goal scorers. And, the fact is there are all sorts of reports flooding the mills linking him to Real Madrid.

The name Torres has been a special one to Spain. This young man has justified it so far in his career and a move to the greatest club on the planet could be the cherry he’s looking for. Ferran Torres surely is a special player who is maturing brilliantly.

The way he has been stepping up for his country is so good to see. He has scored four in the World Cup qualifiers. He scored two in Euros and another two in the recently concluded Nations League. He also has one great quality that can aid this Real Madrid attack, he is a great header of the ball. Karim Benzema aside, I am not sure if any of our attacking players can be an asset for the club in the air. There’s Luka Jovic but his future with the club again is blurry and he hasn’t been able to have a lot of game time either.

The best part about Torres is that he is a versatile forward capable of playing any role in the front trident. He is a little stronger on the right-wing and is at home playing center forward. He is a striker who adapts well to the winger roles. All said, Ferran Torres, being targeted as an alternative attacking option isn’t the worst idea and as far as Manchester City’s squad is concerned he does appear to me as a dream target within the lot.
