CHELSEA

Eden Hazard was considered to be a god amongst mere men at Chelsea. The Belgian signed for the Blues in 2012 and spent seven glorious seasons at the Stamford Bridge before embarking on a new journey to the Spanish capital. While Hazard’s stint at Madrid has been disappointing, to say the least, he was by far one of the best players in the world at Chelsea.

Carlo Ancelotti has somewhat made it clear that Eden Hazard is not part of his plans after stating that he prefers other players at the moment and that there is no issue with Hazard or his form or fitness.

Chelsea has always held a special place in Hazard’s heart and the Belgian even stated in his farewell letter to the Blue fans that he would one day return. That one day now looks closer than ever as Chelsea are one of the interested clubs along with Newcastle United to sign Eden Hazard.

Thomas Tuchel has expressed his admiration towards Eden Hazard when asked about the player being linked with a return to Stamford Bridge. Tuchel said: “He is a top-quality player and a key player for many years at this club and this league, the hardest in the world. So consistent. I have the biggest respect for him. He is a big player, we have many people here who know him well. He was a key player for this club. Now he plays for Real Madrid”

There’s no credible report that Thomas Tuchel would welcome Hazard back at Chelsea or have a prominent role for him in the team. But the Stamford Bridge faithful would certainly want to see their legend return one last time and possibly turn his career around. A move to Chelsea could be on the cards for this winter transfer window and there will certainly be more developments as we edge closer to January.
