Although the international break is not an actual break for the footballers who are being run into the ground by greedy figureheads in football, it is a break in the league action. And as long as federations are sensible, it is a chance for Real Madrid players with injuries to recover before La Liga and the Champions League resume. With matches against Inter Milan and all of the other top four teams in Spain on the horizon, now is a good time to get key players back.

Los Blancos will be getting two important young players back from injury when club football resumes. Real’s next match will be next Sunday, Nov. 21 at Granada.

According to a report from Thomas Roncero of AS, Real Madrid will get right winger Rodrygo Goes and center midfielder Fede Valverde back from injury after the November break ends, meaning they could be ready against Granada.

Fede has been out since suffering a knee injury late in El Clasico, while Rodrygo went down injured early against Elche. He missed the match against Shakhtar Donetsk and the latest league triumph over Rayo Vallecano.

Rodrygo Goes and Fede Valverde can help a lot in the big matches coming up

Rodrygo and Fede have both been missed. They are vital players on the right flank, especially with their running and playmaking. Both are intelligent, hard-working players with the eye for the pass, and they have been known to score goals or pop up with a crucial play in a big game. Look no further than Rodrygo’s matchwinner against Inter Milan.

There is little doubt that Rodrygo is the best option to start on the right wing. He is more active and consistent than Marco Asensio, and he can be relied on more than Gareth Bale, who should also be back from his injury.

As for Valverde, his playing time is a little more difficult, but he may be even more important to Real Madrid, given what he has done in derby matches and his importance to the club in the title-winning 2019-2020 season. And who can forget his heroics at right back against Liverpool in the Champions League earlier this year?

Valverde is needed to provide defensive coverage and pace in transition, in addition to his subtle technical qualities. Luka Modric remains a key player for Los Blancos, but he could use the rest. Valverde is the missing piece whose value is most evident when he is not available.

It will be wonderful to have both players back. These next fixtures could define the 2021-2022 La Liga season, and we all know what Valverde and Rodrygo are capable of when Real Madrid need them the most.
