Much has been made and said about Eden Hazard’s lack of minutes at Real Madrid during the international break. Belgium manager Roberto Martinez was the first person to share his thoughts on Hazard’s situation at the Spanish capital.
Dries Mertens and Kevin De Bruyne from the Belgian Red Devils also shared their support towards their national team captain.
While Roberto Martinez, Dries Mertens and Kevin De Bruyne were supportive towards Eden Hazard in their statements. It was only Thorgan Hazard whose statement was not clouded by any biased judgement as he spoke nothing but the truth. It was a great and honest take from Eden Hazard’s younger brother.
Quite surprising that despite being Eden Hazard’s brother, Thorgan Hazard did not let his personal relationship with his brother cloud his judgement and provide a logical statement over the issue:
"“Vinicius is currently playing in his position and is in top form. In addition, Real Madrid win their matches.”- AS"
As long as Real Madrid are winning and performing well, Eden Hazard’s lack of involvement should not be an issue
There are a lot of angry Real Madrid fans all over social media because of Eden Hazard’s lack of involvement. I get it, you want to see more from your favourite player or Real Madrid’s most expensive signing. But there’s absolutely no possible way that Hazard can replace Vinicius Jr from the starting eleven.
And it’s not that Real Madrid are performing poorly in Hazard’s absence either. So if the club keeps on winning and if Vinicius Jr continues delivering the goods, I do not see why Hazard’s lack of involvement is an issue. As rightly put by Borussia Dortmund forward, Thorgan Hazard.
The notion of Carlo Ancelotti having an agenda against Eden Hazard is also ridiculous. Ancelotti did give Hazard a chance early in the season with a run of games in different positions while he was trying to work his best eleven and formation out.
Now that Ancelotti has finally found his best eleven, there’s no place for Eden Hazard and the only option for the Belgian is to work harder. The best he can do is simply train harder and keep himself fit for when the opportunity to start arises. The season has just gotten underway and there are ample games to go. There will be many more chances for Hazard but he’ll have to be patient and take them when they arrive.
