Following Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival as the manager of Real Madrid, replacing Zinedine Zidane, we have seen plenty of positives. Most of these positives are related to players’ performances on the pitch. Vinicius Junior has been on a splendid run of form since the start of the season, while other youngsters like Luka Jovic, Rodrygo Goes, and Eduardo Camavinga have been improving and making somewhat of an impact.

Luka Jovic has some great qualities which he hasn’t been able to show to the Madridistas yet. With a report from AS coming out that Luka Jovic is now open to leaving the Spanish capital on loan in the winter transfer window after resisting for so long, I believe that we must be patient for the Serbian is just 23 years old.

Apart from that, one thing we all have realized now is that we all can rely on Vinicius Junior. During the 2020-21 season, Karim Benzema was the most crucial player. Zinedine Zidane couldn’t drop the Frenchman for there was no other attacker capable enough to make a difference. Real Madrid wasn’t able to land Kylian Mbappe in the summer transfer window and everyone realized that it was going to be quite a season like the last one. But Vinicius Junior had other plans.

Karim Benzema is aging (sadly) and is more injury prone because of the consecutive games he has been playing for both- Club and Country. We can see that as he had asked to be omitted from the game against Elche. He needed rest to recover from the constant starts in each of the previous games and I think it will happen many a time this season.

How Vinicius Junior’s breakout can lead to more minutes for Luka Jovic

In the game against Elche, while everyone expected Luka Jovic to get his first start of the season, it was quite a surprise to see Mariano Diaz picked over the Serbian. In the post-match press conference, Carlo Ancelotti did reveal that the reason for choosing Mariano was because Luka Jovic was not 100% fit and that is the reason he did not even come on as a substitute.

But irrespective of that, we saw Vinicius Junior stepping up to help Real Madrid win the game. It must be quite a relief for Karim Benzema as the Frenchman knows that there is someone who can handle the pressure, someone who can take over the responsibility on his shoulders and deliver. This will allow the 33-year-old to have some rest, which he wasn’t getting much of for a few years now.

Not only this, this can be a boon in disguise for Luka Jovic who can now expect to get more minutes and prove that he was worth the price of €63 million paid by the Spanish club. Luka Jovic is still very young and despite being open to leaving on loan, I think he can really cash in on the opportunity he will get when Carlo Ancelotti decides to rest Karim Benzema.

But can the Serbian actually turn his future around? Who will be key in his success?

Vinicius Junior is an excellent creator Luka Jovic can play off of

What is it that every striker needs? A companion, a player that can create as many chances for you to help you make a name for yourself. One such case is of Luka Jovic. Toni Kroos is one of the most creative players and there is no doubt about that. But the way Vinicius Junior has been contributing to Real Madrid lately, I think that he will be the most suitable person to help Luka Jovic turn around his career and hopefully, have a future at the club.

I have a very simple explanation as to why Vinicius Junior is the key to helping Luka Jovic. Vinicius is a very talented youngster with great dribbling skills and he is quick enough to beat his opponents with ease. The Brazilian has so far used his abilities to make the most of it and as per Whoscored.com, he has scored 9 goals and assisted 5 so far this season.

Now, if you look closely at the 5 goals that he has set up for his teammates, in 4 of them they just have to Tap-In the ball. Luka Jovic can often be found in the best positions inside the box to score goals. And with the shot power that the Serbian uses to shoot, it would be nearly impossible for any goalkeeper to stop the ball from going in. Apart from that, Vinicius averages 2.1 key passes per game, which is pretty much the creativity Luka Jovic would want to succeed at the club.

So, Vinicius Junior’s form and contribution will be crucial for Luka Jovic to have great success at the club.
