It was another great Champions League night for Real Madrid fans. Real Madrid put in a dominant display and defeated Sheriff Tiraspol 3-0 away from home to secure qualification. Goals from David Alaba, Toni Kroos – who just cannot seem to stop scoring great goals – and Karim Benzema sealed the deal for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid will now play against Inter in the last match of the Champions League groupstage. If Real avoid losing the game, they will finish the group as leaders.

But, that’s not the only thing that has Real Madrid fans feeling at the top of the world. Their rivals, Atletico Madrid lost to Milan at home, who are now in desperate need of a win over Porto in their last match, similar to what Barcelona are facing in their group.

Real Madrid fans cannot stop laughing at PSG’s loss

But even that doesn’t quite stop Madrid fans from being elated. Kylian Mbappe, who is rumored to join Real Madrid next season, scored a goal against Manchester City. But, PSG managed to bottle their lead, and the team filled with superstars ended up losing to Manchester City and are now poised to finish only second in the group.

This result saw a bunch of wild reactions from Madrid fans all over the world, because it is the ideal situation for them: Mbappe scores a goal, but PSG end up losing:

This really sums up what the majority of Real Madrid fans are thinking of at the moment:

Some fans also talk about how Mbappe was supposed to benefit from the arrival of Leo Messi, but he is the team’s only hope many, many times, since Messi is struggling and Neymar keeps getting sidelined due to injury:

Honestly, by the looks of it, it makes a lot of sense. Mbappe has been by far PSG’s best player this season, and without him, they won’t have this huge advantage in Ligue 1. They probably wouldn’t have won half their games if not for Mbappe, considering he has scored or assisted 14 times already this season.

There were other fans that talked, well, at length about Messi’s struggles:

This next tweet makes more sense now than it did back then, to be quite honest. Even if PSG manage to get going without Mbappe when the time comes because of masterclasses from Neymar Jr and Leo Messi, I doubt they’d have much going for them after their two best players start declining.

As people have noticed from the whole saga last summer, I doubt highly-rated young players would want to join PSG when they look at the way their biggest star was treated. Read this next one and see for yourself:

If PSG finish second in their group and Real Madrid top theirs, there is a chance the two might clash in the round of 16 of the Champions League. If that happens, I really hope Real Madrid get the win over two legs, because it will show that you can’t really build a team of superstars and expect them to mesh well together.

Chemistry matters a lot more than people think.
