Things are about to get really nervy for Real Madrid and the fans in the upcoming few matches as they could be looked back on as a defining moments in the league season. It will be a struggle to keep players fit and at their peak throughout the next couple of weeks where Los Merengues will be taking on Sevilla, Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid in the space of just 15 days.

Rotations will be key, decisiveness will be required and to a certain extent, lady luck will need to be on our side. However, it’s worth noting that all the teams mentioned have had their ups and downs and more importantly, Real is the better team and have proven that so far this season.

Yet, just because you are a better side on paper doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll win. Let’s take a look at how each of these games could go.

Real Madrid vs Sevilla – 28 November 2021

Real Madrid will host Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu in the first game of this run. This comes just a few days after they secured qualification to the next round of the UEFA Champions League through their victory against Sheriff Tiraspol where Carlo Ancelotti opted against resting many of the key players with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema all playing the full 90 minutes on the night.

Sevilla currently find themselves in third place and have been very impressive so far. However, they haven’t been solid throughout the season. They have weaknesses defensively that Real Madrid are capable of exploiting but just like with any team that will take on Real Madrid, expect them to be the best version of themselves that they can be at the Santiago Bernabeu.

With 13 matches played, they have been able to win eight and only lose once this season with most of their struggles coming in the weeks in which they played a Champions League game. It will be a difficult night and Real Madrid will have to come out with their strongest possible lineup but they are expected to get the job done.

Julen Lopetegui will want a win against Real Madrid not only because of their history together but because this is a victory that can set them back on the right path and most importantly, it will put them one point ahead of the current league leaders.

Predicted Score: Real Madrid 3-1 Sevilla
