LW Vinicius Junior

Vinicius Junior was irresistible against Athletic Bilbao. Even though his team only scored once, the Brazilian winger played like he was part of a team that scored five times. Nothing sums up the all-action nature of his performance better than the fact that he led Real Madrid with five key passes and five tackles. Vinicius will literally do anything and everything for this club. He wants to win. And win every time he is out there. The left winger is another lock to start this weekend, and Real Sociedad will have serious issues coping with him. Because no defense can. Andoni Gorosabel is one of the best right backs in La Liga, yet I would not even back him to stand much of a chance against the electric Madrid winger.

CF Karim Benzema

The biggest reason for Real Sociedad’s charge up the table and transformation into true La Liga title contenders is their improved defense. Karim Benzema will need to be smart, physical, and highly involved. This is Benzema’s most trying season in a long time, as he must juggle national team duties as a vital starter for France. He may be tired, but he lives for these kinds of matches. Benzema scored a goal in each of Real’s last two one-goal wins against top La Liga competition, so you can back him to score again this Saturday. The key will be for Benzema to add his customary passing, dribbling, and pressing.

RW Rodrygo Goes

After a string of encouraging performances in a more central-occupying role on the right-hand side of the Madrid attack, the ever-inconsistent Marco Asensio has fallen back down to earth. Rodrygo Goes is a superior option to the Spanish international, and, thus, he should start on Matchday 16. We saw him make an impact the last time he faced La Real, and with Fede Valverde and Dani Carvajal occupying wide areas, Rodrygo could have an impactful performance similar to his display at Sheriff. He really should be starting more often, and now that he is back after dealing with gastroenteritis, there is no excuse for Ancelotti to leave the youngster out.
