Real Madrid must threaten from the right flank:

Both, the right back and the right winger have the responsibility to help in balancing the attack from the flanks. It was quite surprising for Carlo Ancelotti to pick Lucas Vazquez over Dani Carvajal, but it seemed like a technical decision.

Dani Carvajal is not playing up to his usual high standards and I wrote in one of my articles, he can still contribute a lot this season. But I expect Carlo Ancelotti to bring the number two back in the starting lineup after a dissatisfactory performance by Lucas Vazquez and I believe that Carvajal will make some great contributions and will put in some dangerous crosses for Karim Benzema to cash in on the opportunity.

But what about the right wing? It was a major issue since the start of the season and still is. Earlier it was Gareth Bale, who we thought would take the responsibility on his shoulders, but the Welsch still hasn’t been able to free from the injury curse. The three other natural right wingers we have included are the likes of Marco Asensio, Rodrygo Goes, and Lucas Vazquez.

I’ll say it, Marco Asensio has been playing some great football lately, but I have my reasons to pick Rodrygo over the Spaniard as mentioned in one of my previous articles. Not only this, Lucas Vazquez could be another great option at the position, but I think Carlo Ancelotti should prefer trusting Rodrygo over anyone for the time being. So, in my opinion, Carvajal and Rodrygo will play together on the right flank.
