RW Peter Federico

Our last possible breakout star is the most intriguing of any of these players, and he is the man to watch the closest in 2022. More opportunities have to be on the way for Peter Federico Gonzalez Carmona in 2022, because he nearly had a hand in three goals in just mere minutes as a substitute at the vaunted San Mames in the final match of 2021. If Luka Jovic kept a cooler head and saw he had more time and space, Peter would have had an assist on his debut to seal a 3-1 win over the tough Athletic Bilbao.

As it stands, Peter impressed Madridistas everywhere. Coming into the Cadiz match with all the COVID-19 absences, fans were already excited about Peter getting a role in the squad. They had watched him dazzle with his skill for Castilla and knew of his prodigious talent.

Real Madrid have just two left-footed forwards in Marco Asensio and Gareth Bale. Asensio has had some great moments this season, but he is not consistent. Bale could have a role to play for Real this season, but he is too prone to injury for anyone to 100 percent trust.

Therefore, Peter can get his chances, even beyond the Copa del Rey. Real Madrid are always on the hunt for the next great wingers, and they have found one in 2021 in Vinicius Junior. Could a young man from Castilla be the next? Could it be Peter? Many Madridistas believe so, and we should all be excited to see more of the 19-year-old in the coming calendar year.
