CM Toni Kroos

Real Madrid are not Real Madrid without Toni Kroos, as we have witnessed multiple times this season. The world-class central midfielder has completed about 95 percent of his 84.2 pass attempts per game, with nearly 2.5 key passes per match in LaLiga. He is the perfect man to control a midfield, and he does so while still offering an attacking threat with his passing.

That threat, however, was missing last weekend against Getafe, who game-planned around stopping the Madrid midfield. Kroos was not awful, but because he was lacking sharpness in the attack, Los Blancos were lost. Nobody stepped up.

Kroos is a great candidate to bounce back and be the Man of the Match. Valencia do not match up well on paper against Toni at the Bernabeu.

DM Casemiro

Casemiro may be on another downward slide, as the standout defensive midfielder has been anything but a standout lately. The 29-year-old was quite poor vs. Alcoyano, giving the ball away far too frequently. His passing accuracy has been suspect this season, especially when under pressure…and worse yet, when under pressure in his own half.

That said, Case will be one of the most important players on the pitch for Real Madrid vs. Valencia. Los Blancos will need his aggressiveness and astute tackling.

CM Luka Modric

The one man holding things together last weekend against Getafe, Luka Modric remains a midfielder of the highest quality for Real Madrid. We will see the world-class trio in action at the Bernabe this Saturday, and you had better believe Modric will give the home fans an all-action performance.
