3 players Real Madrid can offer in a swap deal for Erling Haaland

LUKA JOVIC
Luka Jovic has just a little less than six months to salvage his Real Madrid career, and due to age being on his side, Madrid will find it easier to get rid of him than Eden Hazard, for example. The Serb has not had too many opportunities this season, either, given Karim Benzema’s form. And sometimes when opportunities could be available, such as against Elche in LaLiga or Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey, the striker has been out.
The fans have continued to back him on a regular basis but Jovic’s situation will only get worse if Haaland arrives. He would be pushed down to third in the pecking order, this time behind both, Haaland and Benzema. The former Eintracht Frankfurt star flourished in the Bundesliga and so sending him back to Germany could be an interesting prospect for all parties involved.
Dortmund would get a proven Bundesliga striker who is also young to replace the outgoing Haaland, whereas Real Madrid will be able to sweeten the deal by saving some cash and using it perhaps on a central defender or right back instead. They will also ease off some wage burden considering that Jovic is one of the team’s most well-paid members since his arrival in 2019.
Although easier said than done, one must understand that Dortmund is a hub to get the best out of younger players and the German club also has a great relationship with Real Madrid, thereby being an easy and flexible entity to do business with.
