Real Madrid are working on signing Kylian Mbappe in the summer for free. There are multiple reports that lead me to believe that the deal is already done and all that’s left is the actual signing of the contract.

But, one can say, “Hey, I’m not buying any of this until we actually get him”, and that’d be fair. But, in my opinion, it’s pretty important to look at the updates as they come.

Speaking of updates, MadridistaReal tweeted this out the other day, which basically talks about Mbappe rejecting yet another proposal from PSG. According to the report, Mbappe has already made up his mind about joining Real Madrid and he has rejected yet another proposal from PSG regarding presumably a short-term extension that would allow them to get a fee for the transfer.

The report says that the club already takes the transfer of Kylian Mbappe ‘for granted’, which basically means that it’s already done, and the deal will be announced at the end of the season. I can’t frickin’ wait.

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly made up his mind about joining Real Madrid, per report

It says in the report that the contract has not yet been signed, which makes sense: The club wouldn’t want to put Mbappe in a bad situation with his current club and the fans at such a crucial time of the season. My guess would be that the contract would either be signed as soon as the Champions League tie between PSG and Real Madrid is done, or when the season’s over. The former would make a little bit more sense, to be honest. It’ll be a bit more reassuring for the fans as well.

PSG really did shoot themselves in the foot here. They can’t at all blame Kylian Mbappe for not signing a short-term extension, even if they give him a huge contract and make promises and all that. They know that Real Madrid offered 180-200 million euros last summer, but they were too ignorant. They took that for granted, and when they realised that their project isn’t working as well as they thought – and that without Mbappe it’s far, far worse – they quickly went to Mbappe to offer him all the money in the world. They could’ve taken the transfer fee last summer. They made their own bed.

That time’s gone now, though. Each offer has an expiration date. Besides, Mbappe has made up his mind, he’s most probably going to join Real Madrid at the end of the season, and PSG’s ignorant higher-ups can’t do anything to change that.
