CB Eder Militao

The Brazilian is another player who has been benefitted the most by the admission of Carlo Ancelotti as the head coach. I had to choose between him and Vinicius Junior as the most improved players, but the latter has been pretty inconsistent in the last few games which made it easy for me to choose Eder Militao as the most improved player.

Eder Militao has stepped up as no one had expected. A player with not much time under his belt until Sergio Ramos suffered an injury keeping him sidelined for a long period. After being transferred to Los Blancos from Porto in 2019 for a fee of €50 million, the 24 year old initially failed to live up to the hefty price tag but had the trust of the entire club. After receiving some regular time under Zinedine Zidane last season, Eder Militao did not take much time to settle in quickly and showed everyone what the Brazilian was capable of.

Since that day, he has shown a lot of signs of a young Sergio Ramos, and his improvements in the recent months tell us a lot about his future role at the club. He is a leader of the backline and has proved himself quite a lot of times now.

Irrespective of the team’s overall performances, Eder Militao has always been on the good performers’ list. Take the example of the recent first leg against Paris Saint-Germain. The team had a pretty poor performance, but Eder Militao was yet again, a standout for his side. He was the one who would manage to cope with Kylian Mbappe’s pace, and also made some crucial tackles in difficult circumstances.

He is a very consistent player and the statistics are there to assist me. Statistically speaking, Eder Militao manages a high of 1.8 tackles, 1.8 interceptions, and 2.9 clearances a game. Showing his dominance in the air, Eder Militao has scored 2 goals so far and wins 2.5 aerial duels a game.

Next. Ferland Mendy must step up and help Vinicius Junior. dark

The Brazilian is a player of the future and his consistent top performances have helped him gain interest from top teams across different leagues.

Isco is yet another player who has improved a lot keeping in mind the last 2-3 seasons at the club.
