Eden Hazard’s time at Real Madrid, simply put, has been disastrous. It didn’t go anyone’s way. Hazard wanted to move to his dream club, and Real Madrid wanted a big-name signing to lead them smoothly into life after Ronaldo. Three years and like a million injuries later, both parties have suffered from this transfer.

Eden Hazard has fallen out of favor with Carlo Ancelotti, and hasn’t started a game for Real Madrid since January 23 vs Elche. It’s not an ideal situation, and I’m sure everyone agrees that a move next season would work well for all parties involved.

For Hazard, though, the move would make even more sense if it was to his old club, Chelsea. During his time at Real Madrid, there have been so many rumors about him going back to the club he was so successful with.

Now, according to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konour, Eden Hazard would be delighted to play for Chelsea if Tuchel decides to bring him back to Chelsea.

Eden Hazard going back to Chelsea would work perfectly for all parties involved, including Real Madrid

I genuinely think that if Hazard ever moves back to Chelsea, it’s a deal that could not work out in a better way for anyone in the equation.

Real Madrid would be able to get a huge chunk off their wage bill, considering Hazard’s contract is one of the biggest at Real Madrid. Their chances of signing Erling Haaland should substantially increase due to this reason alone.

Now, looking at Hazard, it gives the Belgian a chance to reinvent himself in a league which he dominated for years, and at a club where he’s hailed as a legend. Chelsea fans absolutely love Hazard, and going back to that place would make him feel a lot better mentally, and would bring out a better version of him for sure.

As for Chelsea, Hazard is a very, very experienced player. He’s done it all, and except for the Champions League title, he’s also won it all. Even if Hazard isn’t able to perform that well for the club, he’d be able to help and mentor the talented youngsters in the squad like Kai Havertz and Mason Mount. He’d be able to help Chelsea shape the future of their club, and would be a great player to have in the dressing room as well.

All in all, I really hope that Tuchel brings Hazard back, because if you’ve read any of my articles on Hazard, you’d know that he’s one of my favorite players of all time and I’d love for him to have a big role at a club again.
