Every month, it seems as if we have seen a report out of France about a new contract offer from PSG to Kylian Mbappe in an effort to tempt the forward away from his dream move from Real Madrid. And now, the latest offer from Qatar to the No. 7 is sure to make your jaw drop.

It is an unprecedented offer from a club that is desperate to hold onto Mbappe through the 2022 World Cup – and desperate to win a Champions League title in order to prove that their takeover of the team was not a failure.

According to a bombshell report from Le Parisien’s Benoit Lallement and Frederic Gouaillard, PSG are willing to pay Kylian Mbappe 50 million euros per year in wages. That sounds wild enough, but it is right in line with the “one million euro per week” offers and everything else we have heard for years. PSG are willing to offer Mbappe whatever it takes to keep him.

But that’s literally only half of the picture.

Le Parisien adds that PSG are offering a 100 million euro loyal bonus on top of that. They are going to pay Mbappe 200 million euros in total over two years in order to keep the best player in the world at the Qatari project through the World Cup.

If Kylian Mbappe takes this offer, Real Madrid may not wait two years

That is massive money. It’s money that very, very few human beings on this planet would turn down because of what it could do for themselves, their families, and those around them. Mbappe could do a lot of good with that money, and there is little doubt in my mind that he will face internal pressure from his family to take that deal.

But to this point, Mbappe has not given in to the seemingly infinite money that PSG are willing to put onto the table for him. His dream is Real Madrid, and he knows he could fulfill both his personal goals and also make a ton of money there, given the greater marketing opportunities. His own lawyers have given him this advice, combating the wishes of his parents.

200 million euros, though. That is guaranteed cash in-hand. It’s also not as if Mbappe is starved for marketing opportunities in Paris either…

But wouldn’t it be the end of the dream for Mbappe to Real Madrid? Would Florentino Perez sign someone who gave him his word, went back on it, then wanted to come back to him two years later? He seems like the kind of hard-nosed person who would move on, and Mbappe probably knows this.

It’s an eye-watering offer for sure. But barring a surprise, Real Madrid still appear to be ahead of PSG for all the reasons that go beyond money – of which Mbappe would still make plenty in Madrid.

Still, it’s such a tempting offer. If Mbappe continues to turn down these “blank-check offers” from PSG, Madridistas will already consider him a club legend before he even wears a jersey and steps onto the pitch. Because he would have done something none of us (I assume) would have in order to join the club of his dreams.
