2. Kylian Mbappe

Karim Benzema’s new best friend and Real Madrid’s long love interest Kylian Mbappe surely forged a dent in the hearts of all Madridistas with the 94-minute goal he bagged but that is what professionalism calls for. The player is now considered to have already set one foot in Real’s dressing room and this will be one last time Los Blancos will have to face him before bathing him in the royal white.

Mbappe was the man who haunted Real Madrid’s defensive framework, particularly Dani Carvajal on the right-wing. While I feel the defender is being chastised for more than what he was at fault, it is true that he was playing his worst match of the season, owing to Mbappe.

The world cup winner’s ambition is to end his anticipated final season with Paris Saint-Germain with the club’s long-awaited Champions League trophy, and if that entails crushing his dream club, Mbappe will not hesitate, and we can’t always blame him.

Mbappe was outstanding throughout the game, even without the late victory, and he shows no signs of slowing down. Back in Bernabeu, he will hunt for new methods to exploit the gaps, and if none exist, he is perfectly capable of making them on his own.

Real Madrid will have a difficult challenge in stopping him, and if they fail, elimination is close around the corner.
