The upcoming summer transfer window is poised to be a special one for Real Madrid. With the expectation of Kylian Mbappe joining and some notable departures, this proves to be a perfect time for the club to really focus on building for the future.
It’s easy to accept that things need to change, they always do to a certain extent. However, the hard part is actually planning for that change and ensuring all the parts work together seamlessly. There are five major points that need to be focused on by Florentino Perez as we quickly move towards the transfer window.
Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland
The first situation that needs to be finalized is the most obvious one of all: Sign Kylian Mbappe. This saga has been going on for too long with news coming out almost daily. New contract offers from Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid waiting patiently, Mbappe already signing for Real Madrid, etc. However, one thing is clear and that’s where we need to focus: The signing of Mbappe is not official. Until it is, the club needs to do whatever they can to make sure that the French forward makes his move to the Spanish capital in the summer.
Another big name in the market will be Erling Haaland as he seems to be planning his move away from Borussia Dortmund this summer. The Norwegian has all the major clubs on high alert but his preferred move at the moment is reportedly Real Madrid. The club needs to get this signing done if it’s possible. With Karim Benzema on the wrong side of 30, the plan for the future needs to be done as soon as possible. Unfortunately, Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz have not shown that they can make it work here as starters, and therefore, Los Blancos need to look elsewhere. Where will you find a better player for the club than Haaland?
