Real Madrid are always on the hunt for top young attacking talent. Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are the best possible players money can buy, and the fact that they are both young attacking talents who can be affordable to Los Blancos (in terms of transfer fee) makes them no-brainers.

But while Mbappe is close to a guarantee and Haaland is also favored to join Real, Madridistas know they cannot only focus their entire attention on those two superstars.

Let’s take a look at three more forwards who are rapidly rising in the European football scene. These are players worth monitoring in 2022 and beyond. Just in case.

Nice FW Amine Gouiri

Real Madrid are heavily targeting the best player in Ligue 1, Kylian Mbappe, but there is another great all-around forward worth keeping tabs on. In fact, Amine Gouiri was linked to Los Blancos in 2020.

At the time, Gouiri was a good young player, but probably not worth the attention of Madridistas. Now, however, Gouiri has stepped up his game to another level in 2021-2022 and merits more consideration, even if he should not be considered a favorite to join Madrid.

Gouiri has already matched last season’s tally of 7 assists and is already at 10 goals, compared to his 12 in 2020-21. The 22-year-old averages 1.8 dribbles per game and 1.4 key passes per game for Christophe Galtier’s side and is a big reason why they have ascended the table.

If Gouiri continues to improve as a goal-scorer and all-impact forward, he could emerge as a possible backup option for Real Madrid. After all, Los Blancos are looking for someone to replace Luka Jovic’s role in the squad one day. Erling Haaland is the replacement for Karim Benzema.
