The next pick is from a club that has come up as a new age rival to Real Madrid. Both on and off the field. While there have been a few fierce face-offs in the Champions League including a Round of 16 tie this very season, the real differences between the two clubs are off the field. The pursuit of Kylian Mbappe and PSG’s unprofessional ignorance to a 200 million euros bid surely spices things up.

The player on the second position on this list is a former Madrid-man and La Fabrica graduate, Achraf Hakimi who is now playing his football with the Parisians. The relevance of Achraf Hakimi’s transfer back to Real Madrid has been discussed several times. The same has elevated considering Dani Carvajal’s injury-prone nature. Real Madrid really doesn’t have a credible backup in the right-back position and Zinedine Zidane’s deception of making Lucas Vazquez a right-back hasn’t worked well this season.

There is where Achraf Hakimi comes in. Considered one of the best right-backs of the present generation, Hakimi is a pleasure to watch on the ball. He has some seriously high pace and loves to venture forward as a modern-day full-back should. He is versatile and can play as a wing-back or a wide midfielder. He is also known for finishing off scoring chances. He already has three goals and three assists in Ligue 1 this season and has also scored two for his national side, Morocco in the AFCON.

He is just 23 years old. And, his transfer back to Real Madrid would solve the problem at right-back instantly. Moreover, being a former Real Madrid player who is well versed with the values of the club, he would be the perfect heir to Dani Carvajal who is nearing his thirties and would be feeling the need for a rotational partner. Even without taking the fatigue or injury issues into account, having a quality backup option is always the smarter way out.
