1. Borussia Dortmund ST Erling Haaland

When we are discussing potential strikers for Real Madrid’s future or for that matter for any other big European Club, there is only one player who would be leading the list of priorities and that is Borussia Dortmund’s goal machine, Erling Haaland. The Haaland to Real Madrid story has gained positive currency in the last few days. The club does seem to be closest among other clubs that are in the race to the striker’s signatures.

If there is Erling Haaland available and willing to join, I think Real Madrid shouldn’t even think of any other player. Haaland is the perfect candidate for Karim Benzema to pass on the baton to. Together with Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior operating on either wing, that front three could be Real Madrid’s next Galactic attacking trio. To be honest, one trio has reached the Galactic levels since the BBC trio disintegrated with Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from Real Madrid. Haaland, Mbappe, and Vini Jr. could be the next big thing in Madrid’s history.

Moreover, Haaland could actually agree to a backup role for the time being. He is being the backup to Karim Benzema after all. Haaland favors Madrid that is something fans must’ve realized by now and that is why I am hopeful of him understanding the situation and signing for Real Madrid. He wouldn’t be a silent backup like Mariano Diaz or Luka Jovic has been. He’d impact games off the bench and be much more regular in any manager’s rotation scheme.

Moreover, the wait isn’t too long, Karim Benzema would soon feel the need for a rotational player, and he is already being hampered by the massive game time he needs to pull off. Make no mistake, Benzema has been playing at the highest level and is coming up with decisive plays for Los Blancos in every match. I’d be the happiest if the legend can carry on longer and break more records for Madrid. But, we really cannot delay Mission-Haaland for a 34-year-old. Even if that 34-year-old is the magnificent King Karim.
