The History

A team is nothing without its history and Real Madrid have a history that no one else can even come close to. There is a reason why the white shirt is linked to royalty and fame. Aside from the awards and accolades, this 120-year old club has had some memorable and legendary nights under the European lights. Recent memory quickly takes us back to comebacks against Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich, but those weren’t the only times that the club has been able to make their mark.

When Real Madrid go down, they have always managed to get back up. Expect a fight against PSG, expect them to be on the front foot, and expect the players to find ways to take advantage of open spaces and move forward effectively. Those are three things that we didn’t see in the first leg but with the team already going into this a goal down, it shouldn’t be surprising to see them start off strong.

This is a team built through history and they will want to add to it on Wednesday night. Yes, there is only a one-goal difference but the club will not only look to get the goal back but also show that they are truly a better team than PSG. A lot is at stake but history has shown that it can definitely be done.

Anyone thinking that this game will be easy will have another thing coming. However, anyone believing that Real Madrid can get the job done is using their history to gain some hope and that is what football is truly all about.
