Real Madrid have quite a few former players earning a paycheck from PSG. Angel Di Maria and Keylor Navas had already been in Paris, and they were joined by Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Ramos this past summer. Ramos joined as a free agent, while Hakimi signed on after Inter Milan were forced to sell him due to their parent company’s economic issues. (Technically they have two other former Madrid players in loanees Pablo Sarabia and Alphonse Areola.)
Most Madridistas are concerned about the transfer situation of a likely FUTURE Madridista in Kylian Mbappe. The No. 7 is fully expected to be crowned the next superstar at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, having rejected enough lucrative offers from PSG to run down his contract.
But while Mbappe is a player PSG would very much like to keep around, they have a number of players on their books whom they may try to get rid of. Three of those players used to be big names for Real Madrid.
Unfortunately, Hakimi is not one of them. According to a report from L’Equipe, via Get French Football News, PSG is currently poised to allow Angel Di Maria leave this summer as a free agent. No surprise there, as Di Maria’s spot in the squad became redundant after the club signed Lionel Messi as a veteran left-footed playmaker. Neymar is there as well. PSG want to go younger and could reportedly replace the former “La Decima” winner with either Lucas Paqueta or even Barcelona man Ousmane Dembele.
Sergio Ramos, Angel Di Maria, and Keylor Navas are nearing the end
Meanwhile, PSG are considering a parting of ways with three-peat champions Sergio Ramos and Keylor Navas. The Parisians signed an even better goalkeeper for free this summer in Gianluigi Donnarumma. More importantly, he is a keeper for the future, whereas Navas is in his final years.
Ramos is also in his final years of top-level football, and PSG are not hiding the fact that this free-agent signing has not gone as planned. The Spanish international is making big bucks but unable to play, as the injuries of the 2020/21 season have effectively cut his best days short.
Real Madrid are not going to reunite with any of these players, barring something shocking with Ramos as a feel-good story. In general, Real do not do reunions. When they move on, it’s over. Navas would have no use, as Andriy Lunin is a great backup who needs minutes behind the best keeper in the world, Thibaut Courtois. Meanwhile, Di Maria left the club on bad terms and is not the age of a player the club wants at forward, even if they could use a left-footer.

This news that PSG is preparing to get rid of these three players is sad for Madridistas, though, because it is a reminder that the players we loved watching growing up are nearing the end of their careers.
