7. Villarreal ST Arnaut Danjuma

Real Madrid fans will quickly say that David Alaba has been the best signing in LaLiga this season, and it is very difficult to argue against the center back. He has been assured in every match and is world-class at multiple positions.

But some fans outside of Madrid will throw Arnaut Danjuma’s name out there. The ex-Bournemouth man has found the back of the net eight times in LaLiga and four times in the Champions League with a combined four assists in both competitions. The 25-year-old does not look out of place against football’s biggest clubs.

Danjuma is a forward who could help Real Madrid in a backup role. There are other very good players on Villarreal to target, such as Pau Torres, Juan Foyth, Samuel Chukwueze, and Giovani Lo Celso. And, of course, Gerard Moreno is a superstar in his own right. Danjuma, though, has the exciting talent and versatility to intrigue.

6. Real Sociedad CM Mikel Merino

Rising center back Robin Le Normand is an underrated shout, and there will be some fans who want Alexander Isak, as inconsistent as the Swede may be. But it is Spanish center midfielder Mikel Merino who continues to stand out as the dream fit for Real Madrid, even above La Real’s most-discussed player, Mikel Oyarzabal.

Merino is in the midst of another fine season for Real Sociedad, dictating play with the best of them at the age of 25. He is the man that makes everything tick for La Real, boosting the profiles of the forwards in front of him.

Real Madrid could use some more help in the midfield. There are more ideal targets for them, such as Aurelien Tchouameni, but Merino is the best man to get in LaLiga. And the best it gets as far as Real Sociedad goes.
