Real Madrid‘s win over PSG in the Champions League Round of 16 has sealed any last, lingering doubts about Kylian Mbappe‘s future. Despite Mbappe’s best efforts, PSG could not finish the job at the Santiago Bernabeu, falling victim to another magical night at the pinnacle of football.
The king himself, Karim Benzema, scored a rapid-fire hat trick that will go down in the history books. And with those goals, Real Madrid punched their ticket to the quarterfinals and to securing the most valuable player in the world.
According to a report from MARCA’s Juan Ignacio Gallardo, Real Madrid are expected to close the Kylian Mbappe deal – at long last – by next Friday. The deal is set to be completed next week in the middle of the week, though Los Blancos will not officially announce the move until the summer.
That is likely as a courtesy to PSG but also much more likely a means of protecting Mbappe. After all, the outbursts from Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Leonardo show how dangerously unprofessional these two unqualified leaders are.
Real Madrid showed Kylian Mbappe they have the stability PSG lacks
Real Madrid fans don’t care about Al-Khelaifi, Leonardo, or any of the clowns who have turned a talented squad of PSG players into a laughable joke. This project has been a failure in the Champions League, and this loss to Real is just the latest example of the Parisian club bottling on the big stage. They have no leadership, and it shows.
Meanwhile, Real oozes leadership and class with the likes of Benzema, Luka Modric, David Alaba, and so many more. I do name those three players, though, because they are serial winners who stepped up on the pitch with elite performances in that must-win game.

So Mbappe’s future is in good hands. He will have many special nights at the Bernabeu. And it is reassuring to hear another report that the Mbappe to Madrid transfer is all but a formality at this stage. Madridistas have waited long enough.
