“Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are three good clubs. I would fit all of them! But I have no time and my Spanish is really bad! Real Mallorca would be nice! To live at least!”

These were the words of Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp when asked about which Spanish club would suit him the best, ahead of the 1st leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarter-final last season against Real Madrid.

Ever since he has been leading the Reds to major titles, there has been some talk about Klopp possibly managing Real Madrid in the future. Madridistas, for that matter, have shown a positive response whenever the prospect of the former Borussia Dortmund coach being at the helm at Santiago Bernabéu is discussed.

According to the latest scoop from Fabrizio Romano, even though the German is currently happy in England, Jürgen Klopp might leave Liverpool at the end of the 2023-24 season, when his current contract with the Merseyside club expires.

Fabrizio Romano acknowledges that La Liga has always enticed Klopp, and that he might be on the lookout to coach a major La Liga side if the opportunity arises two years later.

Real Madrid and Jürgen Klopp could become a dangerous partnership

Jürgen Klopp is one of the best coaches in the world right now. I’d say he’s easily one of the top three managers in football right now, right at the peak of his managerial powers.

Florentino Pérez always wants the best people at Real Madrid, whether it’s the players or the manager. The President always craves for the best in the field to represent Los Blancos. And Klopp fits the profile of a world-class manager perfectly.

Just imagine the prospect of watching Vinícius Jr., Fede Valverde or Kylian Mbappé under the tutelage of Jürgen Klopp. Real Madrid can become devastatingly unstoppable.

There have been calls for current Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti to be sacked due to his stubborn nature (no rotations) and the ability to turn things around quickly. However, he has brought some calmness to the Bernabéu after a historic turnaround against PSG in the UCL Round of 16 2nd leg and some recent resurgence in La Liga, holding an eight-point cushion at the top of the table.

Real Madrid Castilla manager Raúl is touted by many to be the next in line to manage Los Blancos, but Florentino Pérez would surely be licking his lips at the possibility of acquiring Klopp’s signature. He’s an era-defining coach, one who would resonate with the Madridistas.

In all fairness, Klopp has achieved everything he possibly could with Liverpool, and the perfect way to engrave his legacy among the upper echelons of football would be to lead a historically greater club such as Real Madrid to unprecedented success.
