67 days between their match against Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia and this weekend’s in the Santiago Bernabeu, the dynamic of FC Barcelona has completely changed.

The Catalans are enjoying a run of success thanks in large part to the addition of striker Pierre Emerick-Aubamey and and winger Adama Traore. With Pedri back healthy, Ansu Fati not far from making his fateful return from another stint on the medical table, and Fernan Torres getting hot, Real Madrid will need to stay wary when they host Xavi’s squad on Sunday.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang

Aubameyang is a gift that has fallen out of the sky,” the Barca manager told the press prior to the Europa League clash with Galatasary. Wow, was he right in saying that.

After falling out of favor with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, Aubameyang parted ways with Arsenal by mutual consent. He was ready and waiting to sign a contract in Barcelona with the La Liga outfit.

The striker has hit the ground running since the transfer and has quickly demoted Memphis Depay to the bench. Through 10 appearances in all competitions, Aubameyang has 7 goals.

The Real Madrid backline will need to keep close tabs on the striker that looks completely changed from the last few months he was with the Gunners in London. Real conceded once in the first meeting with Barca and twice in the second just a couple of months ago.

Aubameyang adds just one more threat to Thibaut Courtois.
